The ABC Class
A four-level journey designed by Pastor Dr. Mensa Otabil to integrate new believers into the life, doctrine, and ministry of the church.
What is the ABC Class?
The ABC Class is ICGC's foundational discipleship and membership programme. Structured into four progressive levels, it walks new converts and visitors from the basics of salvation all the way through finding their place of service in the church. Classes are held on Sundays immediately after the main service, with online options available. Bring your Bible, class manual, and a notebook.
New Believers Class
Beginning with Christ
For new converts or those seeking a fresh start. Covers foundational Christian doctrines — creation, the fall of man, the plan of salvation, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Membership Class
Connecting with God's Family
Focuses on ICGC's identity — its history, vision, mission, and church structure. Covers the mutual commitments between member and church, and includes preparation for Water Baptism.
Maturity Class
Growing in Faith
Moves from belonging to becoming. Develops spiritual disciplines — consistent prayer, fasting, personal Bible study (Quiet Time), the fruit of the Spirit, and principles of Christian giving.
Ministry Class
Living to Serve Others
Helps members find their place of service. Uses the S.H.A.P.E. model (Spiritual gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, Experience) to prepare members to join church departments.

When & Where
Classes run on Sundays immediately after the main service. Online sessions are also available for your convenience.
What to Bring
Come with your Bible, the ABC Class manual (available at the church), and a notebook. Consistent attendance is key.
Graduation
Each level ends with a graduation ceremony and certificate . A prerequisite for church marriage and leadership positions.
